Syndcast- a digital solutions related company, has predicted that a major chunk of more than 70% of the internet traffic will be videos, which is indeed a huge number. Another statistics claims that almost 80% of the web traffic of the world will be from videos in the upcoming years. This means that around 3 quarters of the internet traffic will be videos.


2. Views on Facebook:

In 2016, Facebook estimated that there are around 8 billion videos which were viewed in a day. It is also expected that this will be doubled in the future and it will continue to grow. Whatever engagement videos have on emails, the same is being followed on other social networks too. Posts with videos have more presence and shares, particularly on Facebook. There is a study which claims that videos helps in improving the engagement rate by 28%.


6. Uploads:

The increase in the number of video consumers and uploads doesn’t mean that it will result in the decline of the same after a particular point. This is just the beginning. By 2020, it is predicted that around 7 trillion video clips are going to be uploaded, which loosely translates to approximately 3 videos per person everyday.


7. Videos in mobiles:

Videos have taken more time to dominate cell phones because video tends to consume a lot of mobile data. Despite that, in 2020 it is predicted that mobile video consumption is expected to increase by 11 times the current number. This represents around 75% of the mobile data traffic of the world. This is due to videos have a tendency to capture the attention when they are provided an overview of the product.


8. Digital videos:

Digital videos refer to videos being watched on platforms like YouTube etc. There has been an increase in the number of visitors to YouTube by 3 times over the year as people have begun trying to watch videos. Once users begin watching videos on YouTube, they spend around 40 minutes doing the same.


9. Audience:

YouTube reaches out to age groups of 18-34 year olds than any other cable networks across a wide range of devices. This is due to the rise in the popularity of digital videos which has resulted in more popularity of videos in advertising. This is going to accelerate in the upcoming days.
