Meena Kumari (original name Mahjabeen Bano) was an Indian actress, singer and poet, also popular with the name Naaz born on 1 August 1933. The popular actress is also famous with the name Female Guru Dutt of Hindi films and is often remembered as the Cinderella of Indian films. She has worked in 92 films such as Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, Pakeezah, Mere Apne, Aarti, Baiju Bawra, Parineeta, Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai, Foot Path, Dil Ek Mandir and Kaajal and so on.

Meena Kumari was left to orphanage for few hours after she was born. She is often mentioned by media as "The Tragedy Queen", both for her tragedic and sorrowful roles in movies and her real-life story. She was married and then separated from Kamal Amrohi and was addicted to heavy alcohol consumption which led to Liver cirrhosis. She was just 39 years old when she was died.
