Tribute to “Qawwali Legend” Late Nusrat Fateh Khan Ji on Birthday
Late Singer/ Poet Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Father of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was born on October 13, 1948, in Lyallpur, Pakistan but migrated to Punjab, India. He was interested in and so learned qawwali, from his father. He died in 1997, in London.
Ustad Khan sang in Bollywood too, some of his famous songs "Koi Jaane Koi Na Jaane", "Zindagi Jhoom Kar", Ishq Da Rutba", "Bahaa Na Aansoo" and "Dulhe Ka Sehra" etc. There are various awards received by him as UNESCO Music Prize, UK Asian Music Awards and was one of the best singers of all time.
